You must be concerend on what Formula Ethara is... I will explain.
Where Tommorows Champions Are Made
F1 in Schools is an international competition that challenges teamsof school students to set up their own Formula 1 team and run it as a mini-enterprise project. They are responsible for managing budgets, marketing & branding, sourcing sponsorship and designing, manufacturing and racing a miniature paperboard-based air propulsed Formula 1 car. The UAE programme is based at Yas Marina Circuit’s F1 in Schools Centre of Excellence, which can be used as a learning resource by participating teams and also hired as a competition venue for internal school competitions. Yas Marina Circuit is the only Grand Prix circuit in the world to have a facility dedicated to all aspects of the F1 in SchoolsTM Challenge. With an amazing view of the Yas Marina and Formula OneTM track, the F1 in Schools Centre of Excellence offers a fabulous resource not only for students and teachers but also for corporate team-building programmes. These Children also have to design their karting costumes and later have to make them. I, Sasha am the Team Leader of Team Fast n' Furious and personally, its complicated. Most of the time you may have some 'Free Rides' in your team that slow you down, others tend to work hard. This project is a benefit for children to understand how life is when you grow up and it's uses your entrepruener skills. It is complicated to find your sponsors and you are not allowed to have your parents finance your team. You also need to make your sponsorship contracts, organize meettings but most importantly find the company that would appreciate sponsoring your team.
As a tip I would advise you to go for the middle companies as the big ones are complicated and the small onesdon't have enough money to sponsor you. SOme franchises may sponsor you and if you're really lucky, a big company will sponsor you. We got sponsored by a franchise and a big company but not by luck, by hard work. While writing to sponsors be as formal as you can. If you don't, the company wont take you seriously so they will not sponsor you.The sponsor will be attracted to your deal if it is a fair price. If you have several packagesand one costs about 3,200AED (which is expensive) make it so that thair logo will be on the suits and the car.
To get more points, buy a matching suit for your team. We wore matching shoes, gloves and suits with our logo. Also, impress the judges with a beautiful backdrop. And when you press the button to make the car win the race try to have the best reaction time and race time because you get more points on that too. For your verbal presentation, be once again formal and impress the jugdes with a sofisticated powerpoint and explain who you are, why participated, your role and that you hoped to win. Let them ask questions and don't act like a robot, let it come naturally. Try to get as much merchandising you can from the sponsors and maybe buy 20 polo or just normal shirts for a low price with your logo on it. Try to get as many people to take your merchandise to earn the Team Identity award like we did (we had over 100 items for merchandising).
Thx 4 reading!
